Sanjay Mehrotra is the Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Micron Technology, Inc., a leading global semiconductor and memory solutions company. Mehrotra joined Micron Technology in May 2017, taking on the role of President and CEO. Since then, he has been leading the company through a transformative period, capitalizing on advancements in computing architecture and artificial intelligence technologies.

Sanjay earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California, Berkeley and is a graduate of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Program (SEP). Mehrotra co-founded SanDisk in 1988 and was president and CEO from 2011 until 2016. He previously was executive vice president and chief operating officer, senior vice president of engineering, vice president of product development and director of memory design and product engineering. His leadership as President and CEO from 2011 to 2016 oversaw SanDisk’s growth into a Fortune 500 company before its acquisition by Western Digital.

Mehrotra was inducted into the National Academy of Engineering in 2022, one of the highest distinctions in the profession. Sanjay is passionate about promoting STEM education and has supported programs that inspire youth to discover science, technology, engineering, math and computer science.
