Indiaspora is a dynamic non-profit organization. As part of the Development team, you will play a crucial role in our mission to inspire the global Indian-origin diaspora to be a force for good. This position is entirely remote, with the ideal employee based in the US. US work authorization is required. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Role Summary
This role provides essential administrative and operational support to the Development team and the broader organization. This entry-level opportunity with a rapidly growing organization is a great opportunity for a motivated learner.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Management: Maintain and update donor and member records in CRM systems (e.g., Hubspot, Zoho) to ensure data accuracy, manage data entry, and track donations and dues.
- Event Support: Coordinate logistics, attendee tracking, and execution for all organizational events.
- Fundraising: Assist in the execution of donation requests and direct email campaigns.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle daily administrative responsibilities, schedule meetings, and collaborate with the marketing team on digital communications, social media, and website updates.
- Member Relations: Act as one of the primary liaisons for global Indiaspora members, handling inbound inquiries, providing information on events and account details, and supporting donor stewardship with timely acknowledgments and updates.
- Serve as a primary point of contact (upon request) for members and prominent members, providing timely information on events and other organizational updates.
- Manage inbound inquiries using clear, concise, and professional communication, ensuring efficient routing of requests to appropriate staff members.
- Support donor stewardship through acknowledgments, thank-you communications, and regular updates.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience & Education: An undergraduate degree is required, along with 0–3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in an administrative or virtual assistant role.
- Technology: High level of digital proficiency is necessary. Familiarity with Google Suite, Canva, Microsoft Office, Calendly, Slack, Zoom, HubSpot, and WordPress will be useful.
- Essential Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and conceptualization skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication (writing, speaking, listening) and interpersonal skills for interacting with donors and stakeholders.
- Strong commitment to customer service, attention to detail, and a proactive, self-directed, and collaborative working style.
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $48,000 – $52,000 (commensurate with experience).
