Sanjay founded SARORAS in 2018 to pursue investments in technology and business services companies. Prior to founding SARORAS, Sanjay worked at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS). At WCAS, Sanjay was a General Partner, member of the Management Committee, and Co-Head of the Information & Business Services group. Prior to joining WCAS, Sanjay was a Director with Fox Paine & Company, a San Francisco-based private equity firm. He also worked in the Mergers, Acquisitions & Restructuring Department and in the Debt Capital Markets Department of Morgan Stanley & Co.
Sanjay has been involved in a number of educational and charitable activities. He currently chairs the Advisory Council for Princeton University’s Institute for International and Regional Studies, is a member of the Board of Directors of the Partnership Fund sponsored by the Partnership for New York City, and is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club. Sanjay was also a David Rockefeller Fellow with the Partnership for New York City.
Sanjay graduated from Princeton University with a BA in molecular biology in 1987. He also earned concurrent degrees from Harvard Law School and MIT’s Sloan School of Management in 1994.
