Executive Director, Kailash Satyarthi Children's Foundation US

Anjali Kochar has worked on social justice issues for the past 24 years and is currently the Executive Director of the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation US. After completing her undergraduate degree from American University, she worked with the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Human Rights where she focused on child labor issues in India’s carpet industry, supported the annual RFK Human Rights Award and served on the International Steering Committee for the Global March Against Child Labor. In 2001, she received a Masters in International Affairs with a concentration in economic and political development from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. Anjali then joined Mothers Acting Up, an organization empowering mothers to take action on behalf of the world’s children, where she was able to combine her passion for advancing children’s rights with her belief in the power of mothers and young people to change the world.
