Ashish Mathur

Ashish Mathur is the Co-founder and Executive Director of the South Asian Heart Center since its inception in September 2006. He has created the Center’s vision and it is now his personal mission to educate South Asians about the epidemics of diabetes and heart disease. Developed with his guidance, the Center’s has become an unique health and wellness resource for the Indian diaspora to evaluate and reduce risk, recognized by the US Congress and the State of California, and endorsed by the 16th Surgeon General of the United States, Dr. Vivek Murthy. Ashish has been the successful founder, key contributor and executive team member at several Silicon Valley software startups including NET, Adaptive Networks, Technikron Communication Systems, Pure Software, and Selectica. His education is in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, with degrees from IIT Bombay and Masters from USC.
