Kris Kolluri

Kris Kolluri was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Rowan University/Rutgers – Camden Board of Governors on July 1, 2014. His mandate is to lead the Board’s efforts by leveraging existing education, research and medical assets in Camden by creating academic programs to build and sustain economic growth in the city and the broader South Jersey region. Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the Rowan/Rutgers – Camden Board of Governors, Kris served as Counsel at the law firm of Windels Marx Lane and Mittendorf.

Kris served as the Chief Executive Officer of the New Jersey Schools Development Authority’s (SDA). At SDA, he oversaw the State’s $5.3 billion school construction program. Prior to leading SDA, he served as the Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT). In his capacity as NJDOT Commissioner, Kris also served as Chairman of NJ TRANSIT, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority and the South Jersey Transportation Authority, overseeing a total of 17,000 employees, more than $3.6 billion in capital funds and over $2 billion in operating funds.

Prior to working in state government, Kris served as a Senior Policy Advisor to House Democratic Leader

Richard A. Gephardt, heading the Member Support Program, which was established to help freshman Members of Congress design and implement long-term strategic initiatives. Before he worked for Congressman Gephardt, he served as Congressman Robert E. Andrews’ Legislative Director.

Kris has a Bachelors of Science from Rutgers University and a Juris Doctor degree from

Georgetown University.
