Prashant Kothari, Managing Director of SitusAMC’s Title Solution Services

Prashant Kothari is Managing Director of SitusAMC’s Title Solution Services. He has been associated with the mortgage industry for more than two decades. Mr. Kothari began his career in the mortgage division of Kidder, Peabody & Co. followed by multiple roles at Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (“Freddie Mac”), including working in the Freddie Mac’s Office of the President. These experiences gave Mr. Kothari deep insights into the inefficiencies plaguing the financial services and mortgage industries. Armed with this knowledge and experience, he founded String Title Services in 2004 with the singular objective of making the American real estate industry more efficient. Mr. Kothari provides the overall direction and strategic inputs for String’s team. The goal is to help title and mortgage companies reduce costs, shorten cycle times and increase profits. String was acquired by SitusAMC in February 2019.

Mr. Kothari is a regular speaker at various mortgage forums including the Mortgage Bankers Association, American Land Title Association, Real Estate Services Providers Council, National Settlement Services Summit, National Press Club and other international, regional and state outsourcing and mortgage forums. He has taught or spoken at multiple universities and schools in the US and in India, including George Washington, University of Virginia, the University of Chennai, the Great Lakes School of Management and others. He has also served as a coach, mentor and judge to multiple college and student entrepreneurship competitions, including the George Washington New Venture Competition and EO’s Global Student Entrepreneur Awards. Mr. Kothari is a member of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), TiE, Mindshare, the Economic Club of Washington and Indiaspora. Prior to 2002, Mr. Kothari started or co-founded three other companies.
