Vandana Shah is the Director, South Asia Programs for the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (CTFK), a US based non-profit organization that works globally to reduce tobacco use. She leads policy advocacy efforts in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and many other South Asian countries. She works with multiple stakeholders including government, media and civil society to formulate and implement political and media advocacy strategies. She was the Executive Director of the North Carolina Health and Wellness Trust Fund, a state foundation where she was responsible for developing and implementing statewide preventive health programs. She has law degrees from Duke and Calcutta University. She is the co-founder of KIRAN, a domestic violence organization for South Asians in NC and has served on the Boards of various health care and non-profit organizations in North Carolina.
