Prasad Ramakrishnan
SVP of IT and Chief Information Officer, Freshworks
Prasad Ramakrishnan is the SVP of IT and Chief Information Officer of Freshworks and is responsible for the IT vision and strategy of the company and its execution.
With over three decades of experience in the Information Technology and Security space, Prasad drives the managing the technology platform to scale Freshworks — covering internal business systems, business intelligence, analytics, global IT infrastructure, application & network security, data security, business continuity and disaster recovery. Prasad is an Innovator in a “Cloud First” ecosystem who has successfully transitioned companies from a traditional IT architecture to a user experience enhanced cloud only architecture.
Prasad holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a diploma in Business Administration (Marketing) from Madras University, a Master’s in Computer Applications from Anna University, and an MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix.
Prior to joining Freshworks, Prasad was the CIO of Veeva. Before that, he was the VP of IT at HotChalk and headed IT teams at Bodhtree, Buxton, Infoblox, FormFactor, Brocade, Keane (NTTData), Intraware and had started his career at Wipro.
He is very active in the community, and is a board member of India Community Center. He is a mentor to many technology leaders and is an advisor to many startups.
