Senior Manager, Global Programs

This is a mid-career, full-time position for an individual with substantial direct and indirect team leadership experience. This position will play a significant role in managing Indiaspora’s expansion and membership processes into other countries outside the United States. 

This individual will report to the VP of Operations at Indiaspora, and will contribute to our nonprofit’s mission of bringing together the professionally, geographically, and religiously diverse Indian diaspora to be a force for good. Indiaspora’s start-up culture and collaborative work environment will provide for significant growth opportunities. This role will be a remote position for the foreseeable future. Reporting into this position will be a Global Programs Coordinator, and Interns (as needed). 


  • Oversee the development and execution of programming which position Indiaspora as a thought-leader at a global level. Beginning in the United States, India, Canada, England, United Arab Emirates, and Singapore, with the possibility of additional target countries over time
  • Lead Indiaspora’s efforts to expand the organization’s presence in target countries
  • Plan and organize relevant Indiaspora events, including “Global Connect” delegations, collaborative forums with government leaders, private sector, or other non-profit organizations (such as think tanks, trade associations, and other community organizations), and organization expansion research excursions.
  • Create, analyze, and manage annual budgets for all global programs
  • Lead efforts to build relationships with key stakeholders such as government officials, private sector leaders and, non-profit organizations in target countries
  • Develop strategic plans for Indiaspora’s continued expansion in target countries and beyond.



  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (i.e. International Affairs, Political Science)
  • 7 years of experience in management with progressively increasing levels of responsibility
  • Strong attention to detail while keeping under consideration greater organization priorities
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and GSuite, including Gmail and Google Drive (Documents, Sheets, and Slides), and Zoom.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Ability to collaborate with team members across varying levels, including those who are not direct reports
  • Work authorization in the United States 


  • Graduate degree in relevant field
  • Prior experience planning and executing events
  • Wide-ranging knowledge of global affairs and international issues of relevance to the Indian diaspora
  • Familiarity with policy, think tank, business, or Indian networks in the United States, India, and target countries
  • Ability to engage in Indiaspora’s key areas of programmatic focus across a variety of disciplines (entrepreneurship and innovation, philanthropy, non-partisan political and civic engagement, climate change, and Indian diaspora public leadership at large)
  • Interest in tracking and following relevant news regarding the Indian diaspora community
