Mallika Janakiraman is an experienced executive leader with 35 years in functional nutrition and women’s health across India and New Zealand. She has held senior leadership positions at Kellogg, Nestlé, and PepsiCo. She currently serves as an Independent Director on the board of Milky Mist and as an honorary board member of the NDDB Foundation for Nutrition.
Mallika is the Founder and Chair of the Wahine Charitable Trust in Auckland, leading initiatives focused on maternal and infant nutrition (WoMB) and women’s health (WoW). She advises start-ups in New Zealand and India, leveraging expertise in nutrition strategy, regulatory and scientific engagement, policy advocacy, and sustainable growth.
Based in Auckland, Mallika actively addresses and advocates for issues that advance trade and partnerships between New Zealand and India and beyond aligning business objectives with social impact. Her academic background includes a Master’s in Foods & Nutrition, an MPhil in Food Service Management and Dietetics from the University of Madras, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Commercialisation and Entrepreneurship from the University of Auckland.
