Bipul Sinha is the Co-founder, CEO, and Chairman of Rubrik, Inc., a leading cybersecurity company specializing in data security and cyber resilience. He established Rubrik in 2014 with the vision to help organizations manage and protect their data in a multi-cloud environment and recover quickly from cyberattacks. Rubrik went public in April 2024, reaching a market capitalization that has since topped $17 billion.

Before co-founding Rubrik, Sinha had a distinguished career as a venture capitalist. He was a Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, joining in 2010, where he focused on software, mobile, and Internet sectors. His investments at Lightspeed included successful companies such as Nutanix, Pulse, and Bromium. Prior to Lightspeed, he was a founding investor and board member for companies like Nutanix and Hootsuite during his time at Blumberg Capital. Sinha also brings significant engineering and leadership experience from his earlier career. He held engineering positions at Oracle Corporation, where he worked for nine years and held over 30 patents in distributed computing, as well as American Megatrends and IBM.

He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, where he was honored with the Distinguished Alumnus Award, and an MBA from The Wharton School, where he was a Palmer Scholar. Sinha continues to serve as a Venture Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners.  Additionally, he championed Rubrik’s significant expansion in India—opening a Bengaluru hub, investing hundreds of millions, and promoting digital trust amid evolving data regulations.
