Gautam Adani, is a self-made Indian industrialist who chairs the Adani Group, a multinational conglomerate. Adani’s philosophy centers on “Growth with Goodness.” He emphasizes building world-class infrastructure to propel India’s economic growth while giving back to society through philanthropic initiatives. Born in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, he is the seventh of eight children. As a teenager, Adani moved to Mumbai in 1978 to work as a diamond sorter for Mahendra Brothers. He founded the Adani Group, which initially focused on trading and exports.
The Adani Group operates in the energy, defense, and infrastructure spaces amongst others. He is currently spearheading India’s largest port infrastructure projects and making significant investments in the renewable energy sector.
