Jay Chaudhry

CEO, ZScaler

Jay Chaudhry is the CEO, Chairman, and Founder of Zscaler, a leading cloud security company. He is a first-generation student and grew up in a small Indian village called Panoh in the Una district of Himachal Pradesh, in the foothills of the Himalayas. Despite these humble beginnings, earned his Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from IIT BHU Varanasi. He then obtained three master’s degrees from the University of Cincinnati in computer and electronic engineering, business administration and industrial engineering. He has completed the Executive Management Program from Harvard Business School.

Before founding Zscaler, he was a serial entrepreneur. In 1996, Jay founded and led his first company, SecureIT, the first pure-play internet security service, before it was acquired by VeriSign in 1998. He also founded and led CoreHarbor, a managed ecommerce solution, before it was acquired by USi/AT&T. Chaudhry founded Zscaler, a Zero Trust cloud security company, in 2007. The company went public on March 16, 2018, and under his leadership, Zscaler has become a major player in cybersecurity, offering cloud-based security solutions to enterprises worldwide.
