Rishad Premji is an Indian business executive and Executive Chairman of Wipro Limited, a consulting-led and AI-powered global information technology services company, with over 230,000 employees in six continents.  Rishad was a student of Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai and later did a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Wesleyan University and his MBA from Harvard Business School. Before joining the family business, he gained international experience working at GE Capital in the United States and Bain & Company in London.

He joined Wipro in 2007 and worked in several roles before becoming Executive Chairman in 2019 — including General Manager in the Banking and Financial Services business, Head of Investor and Government Relations, and Head of Strategy and M&A. He was the Chairman of NASSCOM for the year 2018–19. Premji, Executive Chairman of Wipro, spearheaded a major AI transformation, with 235,000 employees completing GenAI 101 training and 30,000 receiving advanced certifications—empowering operations, delivery, and innovation across functions. He announced a $1 billion AI investment plan over three years to embed AI pervasively via platforms like WiNow and Lab45.

Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Rishad continues his family’s legacy of philanthropy and social service.  He represents the next generation of Indian business leadership, combining global education and experience with deep commitment to technology innovation and societal impact.
