Indiaspora UK held its first economic forum dinner on 30 September at Barclays’ Head Office in London. The event was hosted by Barclays Wealth on behalf of Indiaspora and the theme was to discuss the “Economic outlook in the UK”, as we await the next budget from the Chancellor in just under a month.
Great insights from the two speakers, Sonia Fernandes, Economist at Barclays, and Martin Portnoy, Partner at E&Y around potential areas to keep track of for businesses, start-ups and individuals. This was followed by an animated discussion by attendees on which taxes would rise and where growth would come from. Our members really enjoyed the food, the discussions and the networking. Indiaspora was represented by Nina Amin, our Country Head in the United Kingdom.
