The Summit

How can we discard conventional mindsets on philanthropy and challenge our minds and hearts so that it not only survives but thrives in an ever-evolving environment? Welcome to a new kind of philanthropy where purpose meets provocation, and generosity gets a bold new stage.

This isn’t your standard sit-and-listen Summit. This is the Future of Giving, where innovation, impact, and ideas collide in unexpected ways, a short distance from Silicon Valley.

The Debate Stage: Disruptive Dialogues We’re putting a challenging question front and center. Our live Oxford-style debate will bring thought leaders, changemakers, and disruptors into intellectual sparring matches—with you as the judge.

People’s Choice Panel: You Set the Agenda Why should panels be decided in back rooms? Our audience curates the topics and selects the voices they want to hear most—in real time. Using live polling, participants shape the conversation from pitches that will come live.

Entrepreneurial Mindset – Can Philanthropy be reimagined Can traditional philanthropy, new emerging technologies, and next-generation thinking all exist side by side for real change to happen? Can we synthesize the power of data and inspirational stories to gain insights into philanthropy? Dive into the next-gen approach where conversation replaces keynotes, and every voice matters.

About IPA

IPA is a coalition of nonprofit, philanthropic, and charitable organizations dedicated to mobilizing people and fostering development and alleviate poverty in India. Aims to double the funds flowing from the U.S. to India-focused humanitarian efforts, encourage sharing of best practices, and foster a culture of trust and transparency among donors and stakeholders. IPA’s goal is to create a paradigm shift in how philanthropy benefitting India is viewed and conducted.

Indiaspora and the leaders of IPA have been hosting philanthropy gatherings for over a decade. The 2019 Summit unveiled two key initiatives: ChaloGive, a weeklong online giving campaign to galvanize the Indian diaspora around giving to India. The second initiative was the official launch of the India Philanthropy Alliance, which began informally in 2017. IPA originally had 12 member organizations and now has increased to 21; continuing their common vision for achieving humanitarian & developmental goals in India.
