Ashok Jacob

Executive Chairman & Founder, Ellerston Capital

Ashok Jacob is the Executive Chairman and Founder of Ellerston Capital, a Sydney based Financial Institution whose activities include Asset Management, Corporate Advice, Capital Solutions and Structured Products.

He was previously the CEO of Consolidated Press Holdings from 1999 until 2011. Prior to that, he was the Managing Director of Thorney Holdings from 1991 until 1998.

He has served on the boards of several public companies including Crown Ltd and Publishing and Broadcasting Ltd.

Ashok was also the Chairman of Hoyts Cinemas.

From 2013 until 2023 he was the Government appointed Chair of the Australia India Council.

He was also an Australian Representative on the board of the Quad Investor Network for the last three years.

He holds an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (1984).
