Rohini Chakravarthy is Managing Partner at NewBuild Venture Capital, a Silicon-Valley based early-stage venture firm that invests in enterprise supply chains, AI, and critical infrastructure.
Rohini has been a successful VC for over two decades. Previously, she was a partner at NEA, one of the largest venture firms in the world, where focused on software, systems and technology investments around the cloud, mobile and AI transitions. She also has a deep background working with corporate groups such as Nokia’s NGP Capital and Intel Capital. Rohini has been an active member on fifteen startup company boards, and nurtured several to successful exits. Her previous portfolio successes include Coda (now Superhuman), Springpath and Luxtera (both acquired by Cisco), and IPOs of Fusion IO and Aquantia.
Rohini received an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, an MS from Case Western Reserve University and a B.Tech from IIT Madras. She is committed to alumni engagement and giving. She served two terms on the board of the IIT Madras Foundation and is currently on the board of the MIT Club of Northern California, where she chaired the nomination committee.
Rohini is a member of Indiaspora, a founder’s circle member of Neythri, and a founding supporter of FirstBoard.io, organizations which support women on their career, board and philanthropic journeys.
