Sasha Bakhru

Founder & CEO, Perosphere Technologies

Dr. Sasha Bakhru is Founder and CEO of Perosphere Technologies, a specialty pharmaceutical company. He previously founded Perosphere Inc., where he served as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer, before the company was acquired by AMAG Pharmaceuticals in 2019.

Dr. Bakhru also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Medical Science at Brown University and sits on the Advisory Board of Amylyx Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: AMLX). He has previously served on the board of NuView Life Sciences, Inc.

A Columbia and Johns Hopkins graduate, Dr. Bakhru earned his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University as a Philip and Marsha Dowd Fellow in the Institute for Complex Engineered Systems. He is a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, was the 2008 Global MOOT Corp competition winner, and received Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business “Entrepreneur of the Year” alumni prize in 2009. His work has resulted in eight patents and twenty publications.
