Soumya is the Founder and CEO of Waterfield Advisors, India’s largest independent Multi-Family Office and Wealth Advisory company, advising and managing assets > US$5bn and working with clients in the areas of global investments, succession planning and strategic philanthropy. Waterfield pioneered fee-based Investment Advisory Services in India. A Mathematics major from St Stephen’s College, Delhi and Balliol College, Oxford University, Soumya is recognized as one of India’s top women in business. She is listed in the Forbes 50 over 50 Global List 2026, and Fortune India’s 100 Most Powerful Women 2025 and 2026. She is also a global fellow of the Aspen Institute Finance Leaders Fellowship.

Soumya is a nominee on regulatory expert committees set up by the Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for Registered Investment Advisors in India and the International Financial Services Centre Authority (IFSCA) at GIFT City, India for Funds Management. Soumya cares deeply about contributing back to the social sector and serves on the Boards of several non- profit organizations in the education and mental health space.
