Subrah Iyar

Co-Founder & CEO, Moxo

Subrah Iyar is an Indian-American entrepreneur who pioneered the modern web conferencing industry. In 1996, he co-founded WebEx alongside Min Zhu, serving as its CEO and leading the company through its IPO in 2000 and its subsequent acquisition by Cisco Systems in 2007 for $3.2 billion.

After a six-year break spent with his two daughters, Iyar returned to entrepreneurship in 2012, co-founding Moxo, where he continues to serve as CEO. Moxo has secured funding from Cisco and KDDI to build digital client interaction platforms for enterprises. Iyar is also an early investor in and advisor to Zoom Communications.

Prior to founding WebEx, Iyar spent six years at Apple, where he helped create the company’s first operating system licensing business, and later directed product marketing and OEM sales management within Intel’s LAN software and systems group.

He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and an M.S. from the University of Southwestern Louisiana.
