Tushar Jiwarajka is the Founder and Director of Volte Art Projects.
Originally founded in 2009, Volte Art Projects has achieved significant
distinction, mounting some of the most bold and important shows in the
contemporary art scene. Today, Volte Art Projects represents a collection
of the world’s most renowned, celebrated and innovative artists from around
the world.
Volte relocated its global headquarters to Dubai and launched in the
Alserkal Cultural District in September 2021. Volte Art Projects aims to
create impactful and large-scale projects and partner with leading
museums and institutions around the globe. It has been responsible for
bringing William Kentridge, James Turrell, Wim Delvoye, Based Upon
and Francesco Clemente to the East. It also represents Nalini Malini,
Sheba Chhachhi and Ranbir Kaleka who stand among some of the most
influential contemporary artists in the country. As well as working with
leading contemporary artists, Volte Art Projects also offers the highest
quality international modern masters through the secondary market,
such as Picasso, Monet, Rothko, Dali, Van Gogh and Koons. In terms
of Indian masters, Volte specializes in rare works of the Indian masters
like Manjit Bawa, Tyeb Mehta, VS Gaitonde, MF Husain, SH Raza and
FN Souza.
Tushar created Volte Art Projects with the intention of presenting more
accessible art, with a sense of wonder at its core, that might elevate the
consciousness and help people see things through different
perspectives. Volte Art Projects is a reflection of Jiwarajka’s vision,
experiences and longtime passion, and the artists it represents are
connected through a pioneering spirit of innovation, pushing the
boundaries and harnessing latest technologies to create art that can
expand the mind and evoke a sense of possibility and awe.
