Chandran Sankaran is the Founder of The Gigafact Project, an initiative focused on countering misinformation through real-time, accessible fact-checking. He is a technology entrepreneur with a strong interest in civic systems. Chandran has been engaged in building platforms that leverage digital tools for societal impact.

His work centers on strengthening information integrity and supporting informed public discourse. Sankaran has previously been a successful software entrepreneur. He has degrees in Engineering and Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology and Yale University. Sankaran is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and is a member of the advisory committee of Press Forward Silicon Valley.
