An entrepreneur and investor with over 25 years of experience in transforming scientific research into successful commercial products, Shreefāl has co-founded, led, and advised several biotech and energy companies, bringing innovations successfully from the lab to the market across multiple domains and geographies. He is driven to create and scale impactful solutions for major societal challenges, such as human and planetary health.
He gives time as advisor to institutions and governments involved in economic development through science entrepreneurship such as his recent role as Executive In Residence at Columbia Tech Ventures, the technology transfer office of Columbia University, and currently as advisor to the Dept of Biotechnology, Govt of India, supporting startup and tech transfer efforts. As co-founder and Board member of Pulmokine, he guided the company from concept to sale in 2024, with its new breakthrough drug for pulmonary hypertension now in Phase III human clinical trials. He is founder and CBO of Repoxegen Therapeutics, which is developing a game changing therapy for retinal and neuro-degenerative disease. As President of PRC Tech LLC, he helped bring high-energy, 2nd-gen lithium ion supercapacitors through scale production and into market for various applications. Through his consulting entity, T2M Pathways, he consults with public and private companies for corporate development and strategy. He enjoys leveraging his expertise in strategy, R&D planning, and international business development to enable and empower the next generation of innovators and leaders.
He is also an author, with a 2nd edition book published by Cambridge University press “Commercializing Successful Biomedical Technologies” and multiple patents, scientific publications included peer reviewed and invited papers and conference presentations. He has taught the premier BioBusiness course in Switzerland (USI Lugano) for 10 years, was faculty at Rensselear (RPI) and UTexas Southwestern Medical Center and gives seminars and workshops on translational research and entrepreneurship at IIT Mumbai and other institutes around the world.
