Roshni Nadar Malhotra is the Chairperson of HCL Technologies, a leading global technology company with a market capitalization of approximately $48-55 billion. She assumed this role in 2020, succeeding her father, Shiv Nadar, who founded the company in 1976. Before joining the family business, Roshni worked as a television news producer. She returned to HCL in 2008 and steadily rose through the ranks, focusing on the company’s broader strategic initiatives.
As chairperson, she oversees HCL’s transformation in the AI era, balancing productivity improvements with workforce optimization. Roshni has a Communications Degree from Northwestern University, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Under Roshni’s leadership, HCL has expanded significantly, including a major acquisition of IBM’s software products for $1.8 billion.
