At the Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust, we believe the progress of a nation depends not just on its economy but on the health, education, and happiness of its children. In India, where millions of children still begin their school day on an empty stomach, we asked ourselves a simple question: how can a child learn well if they are hungry?
From that question began our journey, a journey to ensure that no child goes to school hungry.

When we started, our efforts were small and local — a few volunteers serving breakfast to children in nearby villages. What began as an act of love soon grew into a national movement. Today, over 1 crore children across 25 States and 4 Union Territories receive our morning nutrition support.
Our mission, “Morning Nutrition for Every Child,” is driven by the conviction that every child deserves a healthy start to the day. Over time, schools, communities, corporate partners and governments have come together to make this possible.
At the heart of our programme is SaiSure, a nutrient-rich health mix formulated by experts to meet children’s dietary needs, especially essential micronutrients that are often lacking in their diets. When mixed with milk or local food, it becomes a tasty and wholesome supplement that supports immunity, enhances attention in classrooms, and supports healthy physical and cognitive growth.
SaiSure is cost-effective, easy to administer, and scalable. It is a practical solution for addressing malnutrition in children, that brings together the science of nutrition and the spirit of love. Every serving carries not just nourishment, but care.

Our work has shown that nutrition can be a bridge between people. In many villages, teachers, parents, local leaders, and volunteers come together each morning to serve children. These small gatherings have built trust and strengthened community bonds.
Annapoorna is more than a nutrition program, it is a movement of compassion in action.
We work closely with state governments, local bodies, and corporate partners through CSR programmes. These partnerships help integrate public infrastructure with private commitment, allowing the initiative to scale effectively.
Several states have now adopted the Annapoorna model as part of their official nutrition strategy, amplifying its reach and sustainability.

For us, nutrition is not only about food, it is about dignity, opportunity, and the future. A nourished child learns better, grows stronger, and builds a more caring society. We believe that in serving children, we are serving the soul of the nation.
Our vision is simple: to see an India where every child starts their day with nourishment, dignity, and hope.
The task ahead is vast, but we believe it is possible, with the participation of every caring heart. We invite individuals, institutions, and governments to join hands with us.
Together, we can make hunger and malnutrition history and help every child step into a brighter tomorrow. After all, a healthy child today is a strong nation tomorrow.
