Salil Parekh is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Infosys Limited, one of India’s leading global IT services companies. Parekh graduated with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay in 1986. He then pursued higher studies at Cornell University, earning Master of Engineering degrees in both Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering in 1988.

Before joining Infosys, Parekh had a distinguished 25-year career at Capgemini, where he held several key leadership positions. He began his career at Ernst & Young in 1992 when the consultancy arm later merged with Capgemini. During his tenure at Capgemini, he served as a member of the group management board and held leadership roles in Cloud Infrastructure Services and various business clusters, including Application Services. Since taking the helm at Infosys in 2018, Parekh has led the company through significant transformation. Under his leadership, Infosys has witnessed an accelerated pace of digital transformation and an expansion of global capabilities. He has positioned the company to better serve clients in an increasingly digital world.

In May 2022, Parekh was reappointed as CEO and Managing Director for a five-year term ending March 2027, reflecting the board’s confidence in his leadership abilities. Parekh has received several awards as a leading CEO in the technology sector. He is a member of The Business Council, where he contributes his expertise to business leadership discussions. His strategic vision have earned him recognition as one of the prominent figures in the global IT services industry.
