Steve Sanghi is the President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board at Microchip Technology Inc., a leading semiconductor company. Prior to joining Microchip, Sanghi served as vice president of Operations at Waferscale Integration Inc. from 1988 to 1990. He holds an M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and a B.S. degree in Electronics and Communications.

With more than 40 years of leadership in the semiconductor industry, Sanghi is widely recognized for his strategic vision and operational excellence. Under his direction, Microchip achieved 121 consecutive profitable quarters and he transformed the firm’s market value from about $10 million to billions during his nearly three-decade leadership.

Sanghi is credited with making Microchip profitable again through investments in research and development and by fostering a culture of teamwork and employee input.
